This is operating and using what the Bible calls “the royal
law.” Love your neighbor as yourself. Be as quick to care for the
needs of others as you are your own needs. The world knows it
exists; they call it “the golden rule,” but they don’t understand
how it functions and neither do most Christians.

This whole system of finance must be operated by faith in
order for it to function properly. My dad was tithing as God had
said, but he was not believing for the return on his giving. He
had it stacked up in heaven, yet he was getting no benefit from
it here on earth. Finally, when he learned some of these things,
he started believing God and he is better off financially today in
retirement than he was when he worked so hard. He began to
mix his faith with God’s Word concerning finances. There are
many tithers who say, “Why, I couldn’t ask God to give anything
back to me!” This shows that they don’t really know what
the Word says about tithing. When God introduced tithing in
the book of Deuteronomy, He commanded the people to say to
Him, “Look down from thy holy habitation and bless your people
with a land that flows with milk and honey.” They were
commanded to say this to the Lord!

Remember, the basic, fundamental law for establishing your
heart in the covenant of God is meditation on the Word. You
must commit yourself to the fact that God’s Word works.
Meditation is fixing your mind on the Word. Here are seven steps
to help you learn how to meditate God’s Word:

1. Apply the Word to you personally.
2. Allow the Holy Spirit to make God’s Word a reality in your heart.
3. Carefully ponder how this Word applies to your life.
4. Dwell on how this Word from the Lord changes your situation.
5. Place yourself in agreement with what God’s Word says about you.
6. See yourself as God sees you.
7. Begin to realize the integrity of God’s Word. You must commit yourself to the fact that God’s Word is true and that it works!

“Who his own self bare our sins
in his own body on the tree, that
we, being dead to sins, should
live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed”
(1 Peter 2:24).

When Gloria and I first heard this
scripture taught years ago, we
believed in healing. We even
believed God’s will was for people
to be healed. Yet sometimes we got
healed and sometimes we didn’t.

But let me tell you, the day we found out
Jesus had already done the work and healing
belonged to us–that we were no longer the
sick trying to get healed–we started believing
and acting like the healed and haven’t
stopped since. Glory to God!

You know, you could go out and ask believers
all day long, “Do you believe God can
heal you?” and most would probably say “Oh,
yes!” But ask them if God will heal them and
you’re likely to hear, “Well, I guess…oh, I know
He could, but I’m just not sure….”

Well praise God, there’s no reason to wonder
anymore! God is the “Father of lights,
with whom is no variableness, neither
shadow of turning” (James 1:17). God has not
changed. He healed in the Old Testament,
He healed in the New, and He heals
today. Hallelujah!

The Word says in Proverbs 4:20-22:
“My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine
eyes; keep them in the midst of
thine heart. For they are life unto
those that find them, and health
to all their flesh.”

Gloria and I have never had a single healing
service where God failed to heal and
deliver His people. That’s because we have
always preached the Word and relied on the
Name of Jesus and the Holy Spirit to break
the yoke of bondage–sin, sickness, disease
and death.

Anywhere, at any time, the Spirit of God
is always ready to heal. And whether you’re
in the last stages of cancer or just have a
headache, healing is yours the moment you
make a demand on it. But for God’s healing
to manifest, He needs faith–your faith.

We want to help you get the truth about healing
established in your heart, and to help you keep
God’s Word before you all the time.

As you do, the Word will increase your faith
and erase any doubt from your heart. Then
apply your faith to God’s healing promises.
They will become life to you, and health to
all your flesh.

The words of God are God’s medicine. You
don’t have to be concerned about an overdose.
The more you take, the better you are!

God’s desire is to answer every prayer. He has even given us
His Word so we can pray according to His will. Unanswered
prayer is not the result of God’s unwillingness to use His
power, but because of hindrances we allow to overcome us.

The Bible says His eyes look to and fro throughout the earth
to show Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are
perfect toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). When we are aware
of these hindrances and how to avoid them, we will experience
the joy of answered prayer.

Jesus said in Matthew 21:22, “And all things, whatsoever ye
shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” He did not say
that a few things you pray for would come to pass, or that just
a prayer now and then would be answered. Jesus said, “And
all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing….” He
said believing. Then, “…ye shall receive.”

Doubt and Unbelief

Two of the greatest hindrances to the believer’s prayer life
are doubt and unbelief. Though similar, there are differences.
Doubt is the thief of God’s greater blessings. It keeps a man
in a state of separation from Him. Some men doubt there is
a God or doubt He will perform His Word in response to their
prayers. As a result, they do not respond to His Word. This
hinders His power in their behalf.

Doubt comes from ignorance of God’s Word. For example,
many have the idea that God will no longer heal or they think
He is not interested in their financial affairs. Consequently,
their prayers are hindered.

God has given us His Word to keep our minds renewed. It
is through the knowledge of His Word that we can fellowship
with Him, find out His will and act accordingly. For instance, a
man determines that it is God’s will to heal him. When he prays
according to God’s Word, he can be sure God will move in his
behalf. The knowledge of God’s Word expels the force of doubt.

Unbelief is when a man knows there is a God, yet does not
believe His Word. He knows what the Bible says, but he has
chosen to believe what he can see and feel instead. This will
definitely hinder his prayer life.

In order to expel doubt and unbelief, you must make God’s
Word final authority in every matter, not allowing religious
tradition, or what you think about the situation, to be the
deciding factor. Pray according to the will of God and believe
you receive when you pray. God’s Word is His will. He does
not will one thing and say another. God cannot lie. Refuse to
be moved by anything except what God’s Word tells you.
When you pray, expect things to change. God’s Word will
not fail.
